Alma Turschinski (or Turschincky or Turschenski,
depending upon the newspaper) was a butterfly dancer
in the
Grigolatis aerial dance troupe.
Badly burned on her arms and with a cut on her neck,
Alma's chance of survival was initially reported as
poor. She improved during a six-week stay at
Samaritan hospital, however, and was then pronounced
as in good condition.

Prior to the fire, she was
boarding at 66 Rush Street with other members of the
Grigolatis troupe.
In some lists, her name was miss-spelled as
Furschinski.
Nothing more is known about Alma at this point. Did
she rejoin the Grigolatis? Did she return to Europe?
